Where to watch free Flamenco in Seville – Plaza de España

Plaza de Espana is not to be missed on any Seville itinerary. Trust me – it’s a must-visit spot – and the perfect place to catch a free flamenco show.

Every day, two to three flamenco dancers, a singer, a guitar player, and a drummer gather under the shadows to perform free flamenco in Plaza de Espana. This the perfect activity if you’re short on time and can’t catch a full flamenco show. Or, just want to park yourself in the shade and get lost in the music.

Personally, I think there is something so mesmerising about flamenco. It’s a dance form full of emotion, as you watch the dancers pour their hearts into every beat, every step. The improvisation from the singers, drummer and guitar is spellbounding too.

We loved the free show so much, we came back to Plaza de Espana twice to watch them. We made sure to leave a cash tip for the dancers. Not only to pay them for the show but to ensure that they could keep up this tradition of free flamenco in Seville. We even booked a full show at Tablao Flamenco Las Setas which has shows every day at 18.00 and 20.30.
