Brussels Escape Game – Mystery Bag Honest Review

Having visited Brussels twice before, I wanted to explore the city in a different way so decided to give the Brussels Escape Game – Mystery Bag a try.

What is the Mystery Bag Brussels Escape Game?

Mystery Bag is a little different to the typical escape rooms around Brussels, and here’s why:

As the name suggests, instead of being enclosed in a room and trying to escape you get given a 1.5 hours, a bag, map and a guidebook. To crack the code and complete the challenge you have to find the clues around the city of Brussels.

There are two challenges to choose from ‘The Secret Of The Manneken Pis’ or the ‘Art Challenge’ – we decided to go for The Secret Of The Mannekin Pis as it was slightly harder. This one is also a great choice if you are visiting Brussels as a tourist, as, as well as figuring out the clues you get facts on Brussels and it’s history along the way.

My Honest Review

We absolutely loved the experience, we arrived at the Mystery Bag shop where we were given our rucksack and instructions and then headed out on our adventure around Brussels city centre.

The clues and challenges were hard at times (don’t worry I won’t give any away!) but as a group were able to complete them in time and secure the prize!

We loved learning more about the history of Brussels, it’s architecture and culture along the way, and were soo happy that we solved all the clues and escaped with a few minutes to spare!

I would definitely recommend it for any trip to Brussels, you can book your experience on the Mystery Bag website here

Mystery Bag Escape Game - Brussels

A fun activity to add to your Brussels itinerary. A unique escape game, that is made even more fun as you have to use clues around the city to complete the game. I would definitely recommend if you're visiting Brussels.

  • Rated 4 out of 5

  • An alternative, fun way to learn more about the city of Brussels
  • It's a unique Escape Game which is more interesting and fun than being inside a traditional Escape Room
  • There are clues if you really get stuck and need some help
  • There are two different escape games to choose from
  • Mystery Bag HQ has secure lockers to store your belongings whilst you complete the challenge

  • Weather dependent, if it rains you might not want to wander around the city to complete the challenges
  • There is quite a bit of walking involved, so if you have limited mobility or find it hard to walk for long periods of time (the challenge takes 1.5 hours) I would avoid.
